BLOGMAS Day 4 of 12 : 50 things you should be proud of this year

Not everything on your vision board came to fruition this year. Guess what? There are still things you should be proud of. If you did any of the following, I think you should be proud of yourself.

If

  1. You actually took leave days and made sure that work isn’t the only place you have been to this year
  2. You started a new job
  3. You made it to the shortlist, the final interview stage, even if you didn’t get the job
  4. You quit the job that was toxic or just wasn’t serving you anymore
  5. You started that business you have always been talking about
  6. You began that content creation journey
  7. You started the journey of financial literacy, whether it was reading a book, signing up for a masterclass or workshop
  8. You managed to partially or fully pay off your debts
  9. You managed to put something towards your savings account, no matter how small you think it is
  10. You finally bought that one thing you have always wanted, whether it be a car, house, holiday, phone upgrade, or just the original brand of something
  11. You were able to comfortably offer financial support towards a cause like paying medical needs, supporting a shelter, helping out a family member, or even just giving it as a treat, regardless of the amount
  12. You had an honest conversation with a friend or family member that led you to finally draw boundaries
  13. You were present/there for those who matter to you
  14. You didn’t overthink posting that one picture on your feed
  15. You led a more active lifestyle
  16. You publicly stood for something, e.g., made it clear you were against police brutality, against femicide, against the genocides happening around the world
  17. You said NO
  18. You finished reading a book
  19. You decided to get sober
  20. You said YES
  21. You started seeing a therapist
  22. You quit a bad habit you had
  23. You learnt a new skill
  24. You tried something for the first time, like a new cuisine, etc
  25. You finally moved on
  26. You graduated
  27. You moved out
  28. You got a promotion at work
  29. You maintained a long-distance friendship or relationship
  30. You went back to school
  31. You passed all your courses
  32. You kept a clean space
  33. You learnt a new language
  34. You went on your first solo trip
  35. You went on a trip
  36. You asked for help
  37. You were an active citizen, e.g., by registering as a voter
  38. You finished even one thing you started
  39. You advocated for yourself e.g nogotiated for a pay rise
  40. You kept a promise you made to yourself
  41. You mended a relationship
  42. You admitted you were wrong and apologised genuinely
  43. You made a new friend or two
  44. You donated blood
  45. You let go of comparison
  46. You kept a plant alive
  47. You practised gratitude
  48. You poured into yourself / prioritised your needs too
  49. You stopped being performative and lived more authentically
  50. You took accountability for your actions
