It’s been a long while since I was on this space and it does feel a little weird writing this out but this is a few hours after I’ve gotten an email showing me insights of the monthly insights for my blog.
Just the fact that people somehow are able to access this page is truly so surreal for me. Like I could be paying no mind to this space yet perhaps someone is coming across my page for the first time.
How amazing?
An update maybe….
Life has been happening as usual. I have been experiencing so many firsts. Some of them are quite intense and others rather lovely – because of the newness they come with. There’s always something exciting about new things. Don’t you think?
And because of all that and at the risk of having life happen to me rather than actually curating my life experience – when there’s so much going on, I’d rather relegate some things to the side to ensure I have time for myself – to rest, to be in the moment – to experience.
I also need to update my subscription and get back my proper domain name but I’m in between thoughts on whether to move to a new hosting site or stick to WordPress / Jetpack? Decisions decisions.
Snippets from my gallery

I’ve been reaching out for this scent. I like it more after the dry-down, to be honest. The opening note is a bit too sharp for me – it’s citrusy ( lol this is my very amateur opinion) but when it settles? Very likeable and I’ve gotten compliments on it here and there. You can purchase it here or if based in Nairobi you could try out – Cierra Perfumes or Luna perfume shops.

This photo is a representation of thoughtfulness and sweetness. I had joined a couple of people for dinner and one of them shared this and other photos – saying I could post them on my blog because they know I do food content at times 🥹. It really meant so much to me.
About the dish itself – noting my pre-existing bias for seafood – I really enjoyed it. Would I say it’s the best I’ve ever had? I don’t know but it’s up there. I truly had forgotten how amazing of a dish seafood risotto is 🤌🏾

When you see this, do you think ‘ hmmmm… pretty’? Well, I do but then after I immediately remember how quickly these threaten the kind of look I’d like around the compound. They are just growing anyhow and anywhere – literally breaking through concrete. It could be a good illustration of how something beautiful can emerge from less than optimum conditions and surroundings but for today it’s okay if they didn’t – if something good didn’t come out of something bad – it’s okay, please. Sometimes let things happen as expected.
Music
What determines whether I like a song on most occasions are the lyrics and so here is a snippet from one I’ve been enjoying.
The alternative by Lyn Lapid –
Life is short, things could change in a blink
Every time I jump in, I might sink
But what better way to learn how to swim?
So screw it, I’m diving back in
If there are any typos.. oooops! I was typing out on my phone – but will do a spell check later or if you point them out in the comments 🤭
See you on the next one. Hopefully, it’s not too long!
And Happy New Month, happy last quarter of the year… all of that!
Oooh, I’m on YouTube too
Go ahead and subscribe then.
Bye for real now ✨
